Cheap but Works
I bought this at Lowe’s, for the same price at amazon to hold me over until my central heating gets turned on. I live in an older house probably 1950’s design with cinder-block outer walls, a tile floor in my living room and poor insulation so take that into account with this review. This heater is small about two feet tall and says rated for medium size rooms on the box. When first turned on there was a strong plastic smell but it dissipated after about 10 minutes. I currently have this in my small/medium living room and have to this about 3 feet away from me as the fan blows really low. I feel warmer but only enough to take the edge off, not freezing, but not entirely comfortable. With the built-in fan its as loud as a medium oscillating fan. Overall its ok for the price but don’t expect anything spectacular.

Heater shuts down
See the review by Shagley. The same thing happened to me. I bought it, and it worked for a couple of weeks and then it started shutting down all of the time and the overheat light would flash. I took the unit back for an exchange and the second one did the same thing. Do not buy this heater, it doesn’t work!!

Great heater for the price
I’m sorry to hear that the previous reviewer didn’t like it, but I have one that I also bought at Lowes and I think it’s great. We have it in our VERY large, 550 square foot family room, and it warms up the place nicely within a 10 minutes. Now, mind you, I have central heat, but that room is always colder than the rest of the house, due to it’s size and the number of windows, and I bought it to warm it up more since I have a baby daughter who likes to crawl on the carpet where it’s coldest. If you’re looking at this to be a replacement (temporary or permanent) for a complete lack of central heating, it’s not going to do the job.
It has two heat settings (low and high), a tip-over sensor and it oscillates, which is nice for spreading the heat around the room.
As a supplemental heater or one for the cold nights, it’s great. In fact, that’s how I ended up at Amazon… Lowes is out of them, and I’m going to buy two more to replace the energy-hog oil heaters that I have in those rooms… I hope this helped!
