SAF-S84-E1 Cooler Master, Quiet….but not very..

Quiet….but not very powerful

Although these fans are virtually silent, they don’t move a lot of air (15.75 CFM). If your cooling needs are modest, and you’re looking for a quiet 80mm fan, this is a good bet. Odds are, this will be one of the quietest components in your system.

That said — if you’re willing to put up with more noise, you’ll be able to move twice as much air with a more powerful fan unit.

Not Silent.
I agree this is a quiet fan. But in my silent Geforce9300 system it hums, part of that is vibration of the case and most of is the dim noise of the fan itself.
I’m using a controller to lower the rpms. The ‘hum’ became lower.
The noise is not above day time ambient noise. It is noticeable when used in quiet conditions.
I have a Scythe 120mm on the same system which is quieter (silent).
Living room HTPC maybe. Bedroom HTPC no.
