Good camera for the price
I purchased this camera as an alternative for disposable 35mm underwater cameras for vacation pictures. For the price, I would recommend it.
Camera: The camera, without its underwater case, is very tiny. I’ve taken 185 pictures, some underwater and some regular, and only about 15 were disappointing. Pictures will be blurry if the camera is not held still. Since it was inexpensive I did not expect it to be as good as my regular digital camera, so I’m ok with the proportion of good pictures.
Underwater Casing: The underwater casing is nice and sturdy. I don’t know how it is different than the more expensive models which are sold separately for other cameras. I snorkeled for several hours on three different occasions and the casing did not leak. It is easy to get the camera into and out of the case. The buttons all functioned nicely.
Battery Life: I used rechargeable AAA NiMH and they lasted for each of my days of picture taking.
Note: some websites list this same camera as having a 3x optical zoom, but there is no optical zoom on this camera.
Summary: I would say the camera and underwater housing are definitely worth the price. I couldn’t find many other digital underwater cameras in this price range with the similar features. I’m not sure why this one is so inexpensive, except for the lack of brand name recognition.

Good value
Just used this extensively snorkling in Hawaii. Not perfect, but ended up with some great results. I shopped around a lot, and I think this is probably the best-working underwater digital solution for under $100.
Pros -
-Housing is the best thing about it - great quality, very well-made and easy to use, no hint of leakage during multiple uses.
-Camera floats while in housing
-Under ideal conditions (Sunny Weather, clear water, used near the surface) the image results can be superb for such a cheap camera
-Considering most of the cost is probably in the housing, it does better than expected as a general purpose cheap land camera
Cons -
- Flash is useless in housing. Need expensive off-camera flash for good results in less than ideal conditions (without direct sunlight, or at any significant depth)
- Shutter delay is substantial and can be tricky to use - you have to lead moving subjects a little which takes practice
Overall a bargain and would definitely recommend for casual underwater use in good lighting.

Great little camera for the price
I bought this camera because I’d always wanted an underwater camera to take snorkeling, but didn’t want to pay hundreds of dollars. When I found this one for $90, I jumped on it. I tried it out on land, and was pretty happy with the photos. Easy to use, etc. The waterproof housing being included for no cost is a nice bonus to what was already a good deal. I popped the camera into the housing, and spent an hour or so taking photos of some kids swimming around in the pool to see how it worked. I was basically shooting pics as fast as I could (no film, no cost) and really every one of the photos came out great. No leakage at all. I did buy a memory card for it for about $10 also. The built in memory is good for a few photos, but you’ll want the extra storage for sure. Batteries have lasted several hours so far. I use a Macitosh computer and didn’t have any trouble transferring the pictures to it. For a good cheap camera to take underwater photos, I think it will be hard to beat this one. The small size of the camera alone allows it to easily fit into your shirt pocket too.
