Works as advertised, but read the details closely

This works exactly as written which is to say not as I expected (my fault for preconceived notions). This switch will not sense when somebody comes in to the room and turn the lights on. Instead, you have to press the button to turn the lights on and as long as it detects motion the lights stay on. If no motion for programmed period of time, then they turn off. Very easy to install, works as advertised. I would recommend it if you don’t need the lights to turn on automatically.

Better than motion activated switches
Pressing - Auto-off switch, light is permanently on X seconds after the last motion detected in the room. Other reviewers have stated that the obligation button A to traffic lights on a "bad" feature. Actually, if you in any room that has plenty of natural light, you will not want to have a motion activated light. Motion activated light on whether the light is needed, when motion is detected. This is for a garage or basement where the light is always needed large, but in most lighting conditions, it is a disadvantage. You do not want to turn on a light in a bedroom, kitchen, living room or in the middle of the day, just because you go into the room. This is a waste of energy and bulb life. This switch will not turn on when it in and it goes off when the room to tell unused. What could be more perfect? In short, it is an ideal switch for light lit rooms. It is especially ideal for children, turn the time, but never turn off the lights!

CFL light bulbs may flicker when you use this switch
This switch has to be powered to function. The small amount of current it uses when the switch is off causes my CFL lights to flicker. When turned on, for some reason the CFL bulbs make a buzzing sound that they did not make with my old light switch. I was lacking the 3rd, extra ground wire, that this switch has a connection for so maybe that would have solved the problem?

The only reasons to use a switch like this is to save power, and if you are concerned about saving power you should be using CFL light bulbs. I find this product useless if it can not work properly with CFL bulbs.
