Built correctly for the job.
The clip for this thermometer holds it vertically down the side of the pot and not sticking out at an angle like most others do. I have had a time with others trying to prevent them from touching the basket or bird.

A great thermometer with long probe
If you need a deep fry thermometer with a long probe, this is it. A good product with a great price.

Just OK
Just OK. This is about as easy as I may say so. Clearly not be very accurate. I have to test the boiling water and it was only about 190 F. It used to roast a turkey and was unable to obtain oil, 350 f. I am not sure whether it was the thermometer or not, but that seems case at all.
