Excellent Welder — versatile and good quality!
I had just bought a lower priced model CH welder at Walmart the week prior when I saw this model here on Amazon. I was not looking for an upgraded model like this to weld Aluminum, etc. but the Amazon coupon offer (at the time) made it too temping.
The free shipping was very fast via FedEx ground and arrived well padded and perfect.
I tried it out on some scrap metal and it worked well. The tension control needs to be played with a bit to get a perfect feed but other than that it’s great. The four heat settings make welding the right materials a snap. You don’t need a 20A circuit per se, but to use heat setting 4 for any length of time you will.
I asked my cousin, aka Big Country (a senior welder), to give me his thoughts and he said it could not have been beat for the dollar and that it was “nice!”

You get what you pay for
It worked just fine for a while, when I attached a bottle to MIG weld instead of Flux Core the line leaked. The system used for the gas line was poorly designed. When I called the company they wanted $100 for the replacement part.
Overall it is an OK piece of equipment, but it is really a flux core welder not much of a MIG welder

great welder
Very versatile home MIG welder. Takes a little to change to really thin metals (less than 18 gauge), but one of the few welders for a home shop that can do it at all. I would definitely buy this one again.
