Black & Decker BLC12600B, Decent Blender - when it..

Decent Blender - when it stops working just smash it to get it going again.

This is a decent blender, which I mainly use for protein shakes. All the different labelings are pretty much superficial as it simply just regulates the speed, so don’t expect any “sophisticated” interval programs.
As the other reviewers pointed out, after a while it stops working and the ON light blinks repeatedly when being plugged in. In this case I recommend unplugging it, taking a hammer, smashing the top and bottom and side (do quite hard, you don’t have anything to lose at this point) and voila: starts working again. Don’t ask why, but worked perfectly in my case :).

Click, Click…BOOM!
Times blender was used: 4

Pros:
- A pleasant “clicky” noise
- Pretty glass jar.
Cons:
- Fairly slow for 650 watts
- Poor cyclonic action (doesn’t pull thick icy liquids to bottom well)
- Tends to hold air near blade with thicker liquids, creating a nice explosion every once and a while.

Rating of blender: 1 star.
Rating of my fury: 5 stars.

While blending a tasty smoothy, the blender just stopped working. The liquid had a viscosity of motor oil, so there was very little resistance. Ever since I purchased the blender about 2 weeks ago, I noticed a slight hot motor smell. I figured it just needed to wear itself in. There were no signs it would quit. Now it just sits there and clicks when I press the buttons. I think I’ll take the other guy’s advice and try the hammer. Switching back to my more expensive Hamilton Beach Cyclonic Blender which worked for years before I accidently dropped the glass jar.
